Welcome:
Welcome to KSC and the IBM Systems server page. We use IBM "i for Business" to teach students business programming skills. Thanks to Yahoo for their TreeView Control, used to find more information about our program.
Program History:
AS/400 Computer science courses were introduced at KSC through a partnering with local industrial firms MPB (now Timken), Markem, Kingsbury and S&S in the late 1990's. We received grants from these partners and IBM to create a data center, curriculum and system software. Our first computer was the AS/400 Model 270. Our current hardware is an IBM POWER6 server.
Mission Statement:
The program complements an already excellent CS program with business programming skillsets specifically targeting the AS/400, System i and now "IBM i for business" market. The college offers a Midrange Certificate program.
